We recommend this version for cars where both the outer and inner sheet metal are covered at the same time.

The U-strip is installed on the car body and protects the sharp edge of the sheet metal after installation, and provides a natural seal between the glass and the interior.

Sold by the meter, normally needed approx. 2-3.5 meters, depending on the window size.

How do I measure the width of the strip needed for my car?

1. Remove any interior panels from the sliding door / side.

2. Check whether a separate inner sheet metal surrounds the opening, i.e. whether the surface sheet metal is on a different level with the inner sheet metal.

3. If the car has both an inner and outer sheet metal, measure the distance between these two sheets and also add the thickness of the outer sheet metal, which is usually approx. 1mm. This will give you a rough estimate of the required inner dimension of the U-groove strip.

4. Please note that the inner and outer sheets can be pressed together somewhat when installing the groove strip, so the inner dimension of the groove strip does not have to be exactly the same as the distance between the outer surfaces of the sheets.

How do I measure the length of the groove strip needed for my car?

1. Remove any interior panels from the sliding door / side.

2. Measure the intended opening size according to the inside projection with a tape measure and add at least 10cm to ensure you have enough grooved strip.
