Windshield Adhesive, 3M Auto Glass 08603, 310ml

Windshield urethane adhesives dry quickly and allow the vehicle to be used quickly.

Use:

1. Protective equipment

Always use adequate protective measures when handling adhesives, such as protective gloves suitable for polyurethane adhesives. Also consider ventilation of gases released from the adhesive, i.e. possible respiratory protection.

2. Surface preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil, dust or impurities.

The surfaces to be glued must be pretreated with 3M Single Step Primer (3M 58012).

3. Application

It is always recommended to wear protective gloves when applying and it is recommended to apply the adhesive with a powerful battery-operated piston gun.

Please note that the adhesive is more rigid to apply at low temperatures. For ease of use, it is recommended to store the product at the prevailing temperature before use. The open time of the adhesive is significantly shorter in warm and humid air.

Glass bonding should always be carried out within less than 15 minutes of applying the adhesive. Never perform bonding if the surface of the applied joint has already become skinned,

To ensure a uniform layer thickness of the adhesive joint, we recommend applying the joint with a triangular cross-section. (Make diagonal notches in the adhesive tip)

We recommend a maximum adhesive joint height of 15mm.

4. Stain removal

Uncured adhesive can be removed from tools and equipment with a suitable solvent. Once dried, the product can only be removed mechanically. Hands and other contaminated skin should be cleaned immediately with soap and water.

5. Drying

The adhesive dries approximately 3.5mm / 24h and the minimum drying time in a car is 4 hours. (23°C, 50% RH) for cars without airbags and 8 hours for cars with airbags. For side windows, 4 hours is sufficient drying time.
